Driving Commercialization through Technologies A New-Energy 
Expert Joins Human Horizons Technology

    Recently, Dr. Song Jing, an expert , has been confirmed to join Human Horizons Technology R&D Co., Ltd. He will be responsible for the development and commercialization of key battery and powertrain technologies at our company. Mr. Song has nearly 30 years of domestic and overseas experience in new energy vehicles (NEVs), electric vehicles (EVs) and battery technologies. He used to work for Ford in the United States, and led the development and commercialization of electrification technologies.
Mr. Song not only is familiar with EVs, but also possesses a lot of research results and patents in the area of hybrids and fuel cells. What is even more impressive is his practice and expertise in driving the commercialization of new energy technologies. He worked for almost 20 years at Ford where he was mainly in charge of the development of the EV systems and battery technologies, and led the development of Ford’s first EV simulation model as well as the electric system of the first-generation methanol fuel cell vehicles. The application of these technologies helped to kick off and drive the R&D process of Ford in the space of EVs, and also laid a solid foundation for the later development of Ford’s EVs. 
When serving as the chief engineer of the new energy division at Panasonic Automotive Systems Dalian Co., Ltd. (PASDL), Mr. Song accumulated a lot of experience in operating and managing the suppliers through the implementation of multiple electrification projects.
Available information shows that, for his numerous battery patents and exceptional research results both at home and abroad, Mr. Song became one of the first-class international strategic scientists and tech leaders recruited under. He is an expert of NEVs familiar with the relevant industrial areas and international rules. After coming back to China, he also had the experience of serving as the vice president and senior chief engineer of NEVs at the Geely Automobile Research Institute. In that position, he led the team to undertake a project of the National Innovation Program, worked out a roadmap for the future NEV technologies and products at Geely, led the project for the mass production of the plug-in hybrids sharing a platform with Volvo, created and expanded the NEV lab of Geely, and provided a powerful technical support for Geely in the development of NEVs.  
Since its formal operation last year, Human Horizons Technology R&D Co., Ltd. has been pursuing development across the industry’s value chain driven by technologies. Earlier it entered into a strategic partnership with the Shanghai Supercomputer Center (SSC). With Mr. Song getting on board, it indicates that the company has already put the teams in place for all the key NEV technologies including vehicle control, battery monitoring, charging system, electric/electronic technologies, as well as system analysis and optimization. More importantly, the pace of commercialization is also becoming clear and orderly. By accumulating technologies and building foundations in the industry, Human Horizons Technology will be able to unleash a cascade of smart mobility solutions for sure.
