Eradicating Range Anxiety in Winter with HiPhi's Energy Management System

Range issues of electric vehicles have been a recurring concern for many users, directly impacting their daily driving experience. To dismantle this industry bottleneck, thereby achieving an equilibrium between range and air conditioning and heating even in frosty winter weather, Human Horizons' ultra-luxury intelligent electric vehicle brand, HiPhi, has innovatively crafted the Crossloop Energy Management System.

As we know, in the thermal management system of electric vehicles, the heating element is the core component - commonly electric heating and heat pumps. Electric heating works similar to a blow dryer, with the advantage of fast heating at a cost of high energy consumption. Heat pumps absorb heat from the environment into the cabin and convert it into warm air through a transformer. They are quick to produce effect and have low energy consumption, but their efficiency drastically decreases when there is a large temperature difference between inside and outside of the vehicle.

Building upon this, HiPhi's energy management system features multiple heat sources. It innovatively integrates air conditioning, battery, and motor temperature control circuits. Compared to traditional electric heating air conditioning and heat pump air conditioning, HiPhi's "water-based" heat pump-level air conditioning system within its energy management system offers rapid heating, high energy conversion rate, and more enduring range. Compared to non-heat pump air conditioning, the winter range increases by 15%, and compared to ordinary heat pump air conditioning, it improves by 5%.

Compared to traditional thermal management systems, HiPhi's energy management system has four circuits: "water-based" heat pump heating circuit, cabin cooling circuit, battery temperature control circuit, and motor temperature control circuit. The air conditioning system is connected to the battery and electric drive thermal management systems, using both air source heat and water source heat, fully recovering surplus heat from the electric drive and battery to compensate for air conditioning demand. When the battery and electric drive require heating or cooling, the cabin thermal management circuit connects to the battery electric drive system, ensuring it operates at its optimum condition. This system also has multiple heat sources. Besides electric heating and heat pumps, it can fully recover surplus heat from the motor controller to compensate for the air conditioning heat pump, achieving internal energy coupling and improving energy utilization. It achieves nearly "0" energy waste.

The intelligent battery temperature control technology is also a highlight. Active temperature control keeps the battery electric drive in the best working condition at all times, helping to maximize range. The cooling and active temperature control functions of the electric drive system ensure the intelligent distribution of energy flow under different conditions (including different driving modes, charging conditions, etc.), precise temperature control for the battery, keeping the driving performance and energy consumption in the best state. The intelligent energy reservation function can intervene the thermal management of the three-electric system in advance through remote reservation mode, provide cooling or heating energy storage management for the whole vehicle, make the cabin temperature and the battery electric drive system temperature reach the best state, and maximize the increase in range.

Over the years, all the models under Human Horizons' HiPhi have received many positive reviews for their excellent energy management system, whether in harsh winter tests or feedback from actual users. In the future, HiPhi will continue to deepen its meticulous exploration in the field of range, completely solving the problem of users being troubled by insufficient remaining mileage in winter.

多年来,无论是在严格的冬季测试,还是实际用户的反馈,华人运通旗下的车型都因其出色的能量管理系统获得了众多好评。未来,高合汽车将继续深入研究续航问题,解决用户的冬季续航焦虑。
