August 2, 2022 - Altair announced the winners of the 10th annual Altair Enlighten Award. Integrated High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) Rear Cabin from Human Horizons (HH) was awarded the 10th Altair Enlighten Award for Lightweight Enabling Technology for its groundbreaking and sustainable casting technology, making HH the only Chinese automotive brand to win this year's award.

The Altair Enlighten Award, presented jointly by Altair and the Center For Automotive Research (CAR), recognizes organizations and companies that have made significant breakthroughs in sustainability and lightweighting. Being the only Chinese automotive brand on the 10th annual Altair Enlighten Award winner list not only showcased HH’s achievements in sustainability and lightweighting but also highlighted the technological strength of Chinese automotive brands, as well as their sense of responsibility and mission in energy conservation and emission reduction on the global stage.

HH’s integrated die-casting technology enables lightweight body

Human Horizons has incorporated high-pressure die casting and heat-free treatment material into the manufacturing of their rear cabin, resulting in up to 20% weight reduction in its lightweight design, cutting energy consumption, and improving range. The HPDC Rear Cabin has integrated 40 parts of the rear floor into a single part, thereby cutting manufacturing time by a third and significantly improving body development efficiency.
