From 11 to 14 June 2023, the Shanghai Carbon Neutrality Expo, the first carbon neutrality expo in China, was opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Human Horizons, as a representative of low-carbon and environmental protection, presented at the exhibition area of Lingang Group to showcase its advanced low-carbon technologies, products and achievements as well as its development concept.

With the theme of "The path towards carbon neutrality", the Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo actively responded to the decision of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to promote the goal of peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality by focusing on energy-saving and low-carbon technologies, products and achievements, attracting nearly 600 home-grown and global enterprises.

As one of the six core sectors, the exhibition featured many new energy intelligent connected vehicles and low-carbon technology companies. Human Horizons owns the leading green and low-carbon products and technologies in transportation. Its Shanghai Operation Centre in Lingang Pujiang Science and Technology Area is also a future-oriented intelligent and green R&D centre that fully integrates the concept of sustainable development, with BIM simulation technology, energy-saving curtain wall system, energy-saving equipment and facilities, rainwater recycling system, solar energy and many other green and low-carbon designs. The operation centre is scientifically and efficiently divided into several buildings with highly collaborative and interconnected digital intelligent infrastructure, creating the intelligent green buildings with a futuristic and technological sense.

The "Three Smart" strategy creates green application scenarios and realizes low-carbon smart cities

Human Horizons explores technology based on humanized wisdom, with the "Three Smart" strategy of smart car, smart transportation and smart city as its goal, to improve transportation efficiency, reduce the social costs of traffic congestion and traffic accidents, and provide users with a hassle-free, interesting and technological mobility experience. In 2019, Human Horizons built the first 5G vehicle-road-city integration demonstration project in Zhangjiang, Shanghai, and contributed to the development of the industry by hosting C-V2X meetings, actively participating in industry technology and standards discussions, and taking part in intelligent connected tests.

Leveraged on the "Three Smart" strategy, Human Horizons aims to realize energy saving and emission reduction. The green intelligent mobility application scenarios developed by the company was honoured the title of "Top 10 Green Scenarios" in the green activity of "Implementing Double Carbon Action and Serving Industrial Upgrading" of Lingang Group.

At the 2022 China International Import Expo, Human Horizons unveiled marbled recyclable carbon fibre composites for interior trim, developed with Covestro, which are more than 30% lighter than aluminium. It is lightweight, strong and recyclable.

In addition, Human Horizons launched the first innovative material to be approved for automotive interior trim materials - silicone leather, which has already been implemented in HiPhi X, the first flagship model of HiPhi.Not only is it skin-friendly and delicate, but also reaches new levels of wear resistance, ageing resistance, stain resistance and flame retardancy, as well as reducing the carbon footprint. It is also free from harmful solvents and plasticisers, enabling a new lifestyle that is safe, healthy and low-carbon.

Apart from that, HiPhi developed the first integrated and oversized die-cast rear compartment based on a giant 7,200-ton die-casting machine in China. By using non-heat-treatable materials and high-pressure die-casting, the rear compartment achieved a 20% weight reduction, resulting in lightweighting, reduced energy consumption and increased vehicle range.The technology won the Altair Enlighten Award, making HiPhi the only Chinese automotive brand to win that year, and will be applied in mass production on the upcoming HiPhi Y.
